Confirmed as out for two matches, Hugill also out for a month.

Starting to feel a bit more positive, plus we have more rest than them with them away to Millwall midweek. Quote me now, think they’ll drop into play-offs.

we really need to go for them, a win would put us a point behind and in with a real real chance of autos. i think however he will grind out a point

Their best player out, when I saw he had a red I was gutted as I thought he'd only be out for the Milwall game but what a bonus him not being available against us, as the post above says we really need to set up positive go for it like we did against Reading.

At the moment we have 50pts from 26 games giving us an average of 1.92pts a game.

Over a season that gives us 88/89 points. Would that be enough?

Excuse my ignorance 2 yellow cards normally equal one game ban. Why 2 games?

Second red card this season

Wasn't impressed with Norwich earlier.. clearly Colin had a game plan to man mark Cantwell and stop Norwich passing through the lines with no shots on target in 90 mins .. I think Brentford and Reading will be bigger threats

Average number of points required for the second spot is 87, but it’s been as low as 78 and as high as 93.

Think it’s going to be closer to 93 this season. But crucially if we keep up our form over the season so far and turn a draw into a win and a loss to a win then we could do it

Way I see it is we’ve nothing to lose in terms of going all out for the win. We currently have 50 points and 75 is usually good enough for the P/Os (I think we got in with 70 last season). If we lose we’ll still have 19 games left to get a maximum 27 points, and we’ll probably need fewer. If we win we’ll be in an even stronger position to go for the top 2. What’s there to gain from setting up to avoid defeat, especially at home where we’ve been so strong?

I expect a cagey affair and a narrow home win, think we will grind out a win and it will not be pretty :ugeek:

Much as I'd like to see Cooper let the team play and show some ambition on Friday, I will raise a glass to him if he masterminds an ugly 1-0 win.
