• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Labour's -34.94 vote share haemorrhage is entirely deserved. If that doesn't force Starmer and the echo chamber around him to change tack, nothing will.

Well done to Plaid and well done to the people of Caerphilly who didn't fall for Reform's toxic brand of bollocks.

Why does “Welsh” labour get off scot free?

Always the fault of Starmer etc. Welsh Labour are far worse.

With proportional representation voting coming in the next Senedd election you can see Labour losing control of the Senedd. They will still get seats but Welsh Labour have completely shot themselves in the foot trying to be clever with boundary changes, my Aberavon Consituancy now includes Maesteg and parts of RCT. The Neath seat basically goes from Neath up to the English border and includes large areas of Powys.

Unfortunately with the % of vote received last night then you would imagine that Reform could get a significant number of seats and cause mayhem with their DOGE Policies.

I disagree. They're both as crap as each other, just in different ways.
The rot in Wales has been in place far longer than when Starmer took power. Can you remember the spin that Wales will be better off with a Labour government in Westminster.

You could argue we are worse off.

I think the most significant effect Reform will have will be affecting how many parties have to form a coalition to govern after the elections. It will possibly be the largest party (likely Plaid at the moment) and 1 junior partner, similar to how Labour have governed for some time. However, it may need to be a broader coalition to provide a majority. That could result in parties working together and compromising, or it could lead to deadlock.

Labour have never had a majority under the old system, so it seems impossible that anyone will manage that under the new system. The other parties have all vowed not to work with Reform, so it seems impossible that they will be anything more than the opposition.

If those results were replicated across the new constituency, under the new system, Plaid would get 3 seats, Reform 2 and Labour 1. I think.

Reform couldn't implement their DOGE policies, most of their perceived waste in government / local government is a result of complying with legislation. That's what they're struggling with in Kent. In other words they haven't got a clue what they are doing and saying.

Labour / Cons / Greens / Libs, none of those will make a difference to us Welsh. They will do what their paymasters tell them to do, and will continue to throw us scraps from their banqueting tables whilst patting us on the head. We should be grateful aye.

Labour has killed Wales and so will any of the other English parties.

The only way that stops is independence.

Or we keep accepting our lot and dutifully bow to our masters.

Great on the world stage? He's been bent over by Donald at every given opportunity.
Not to mention his craven handling of Gaza, only very reluctantly recognising Palestine last month and only then after it became impossible not to do so because several other countries were doing it.

He's nothing but a corporate shill imo.
