Can't even reply

I know what happened in both cases it can be put down to user error.

That said I can also disable what causes the user error :ROFLMAO:
I highly doubt user error Phil, I mean that's all the user has done is press reply?

To be fair if the Martians are anything like us they won‘t have a clue what J123’s banging on about for 90% of the time either.
I'm glad you said 90% of the time, now if it you had said 100% I would have hit the roof. :)

What did we do? (and we profusely apologise for doing it!)
The "quote" in the reply box had been locked so that no edits could be made to it. However, what that impacted was if the quoted text was clicked on (which is what happened) then the cursor would either disappear or move above the quoted text.

I've unlocked the ability to edit the quoted text as you can see above

You are more than welcome to doubt it but it's the way it was :ROFLMAO:

All jokes aside Phil, how can it be a user error, when one presses reply? I mean I'm glad it's rectified, but a user error? That's all the user is doing is pressing reply, so I can't see any blame at all on the user.

EdIt: Ignore just read your above comment Phil.

Phil, I'm going to look an idiot (more than usual) but in what context would the "quote" function be used?
I'm guessing for picking out a particular part of a post and copying it into your reply?

Bingo!
The penny has dropped 🫳
Have to say this new fangled site has reached another level Mr S, outstanding 💪💥

I know I am just about to set up the go fund me page so you can all show your appreciation with hard cash...💰

And don't forget that when text is quoted there is an up arrow in it that will take you to the post that was quoted in the first place,
