• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Car 'Infotainment' Problem

I remember when cars didn’t have radios.
That reminds me of the late 1970s as a student in Birmingham. I had a Mini with a Pioneer cassette deck but no radio. My mate had an Austin 1300 with a radio but no cassette. He used to love coming to Swansea with me for the odd weekend (and Plastic Sam down at the Langland Bay hotel on a Sunday night). If it was my turn to drive, as we approached the tunnel at Newport he would reach across and turn the sound off as we passed through as it used to irritate him that when he drove, his radio would cut out while we were in the tunnel.

Was his name Pavlov?

Thanks to Neath Jack and others for suggesting this route. I'm 75% of the way there now, having downloaded all the music onto the phone and installed PowerAmp. I can now select the music from the folders on the phone and play it via bluetooth. The track being played is displayed on the car infotainment screen, all I need to do now is get that screen to show all the selections and chose from them. Obviously don't want to be fiddling with the phone screen whilst driving.
So you've done exactly what I told you to do on Sunday then. A) Put all the music on your phone, B) install PowerAmp and C) run it through Android Auto. You can thank me in person next time I pick you up from Bristol Airport!!!!!

Yes, mate, your invaluable contribution is in with 'others' up there! I owe you a pint of cider in the Mel Nurse Bar.
