• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

All for them joining but surely it would open the door for other Scottish teams to join and Northern Irish teams.

If you are going to make a British league then it would have to mean more than just 2 Scottish clubs joining otherwise we have another European super league scenario where the Scottish system would be bent over a table.

Yep.

I can't ever see it happening, either. The Scottish FA wouldn't want it to happen as the SPL would then be pretty worthless. The only fair way it could happen is if Celtic and Rangers started from the very bottom of the English system, which I can't see them doing either. It would take years and years to get to the PL, IF they could get there. I think they'd probably face stiff competition in League 1 and certainly in the Championship. Their squad would decrease in quality with the lack of money in the lower leagues.

There's no way that they will just be placed into the PL. As previously mentioned, it sounds very 'ESL' in that regard.

Me neither, wouldn't be fair to place them in the Premier League & there's no way they would accept starting at the bottom of the pyramid.
Must be a slow news day to rehash this.

Why would a new British League be less controversial than a European Super League? The same principal applies not promoting teams on merit on field of play
