• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Watching the EFL highlights just now, seen Manning and Still's post match interviews after defeats.

Manning seems from the Russell Martin school of blame the players, all talk of players "not being accountable" and all that malarkey. No surprise to see Norwich where they are.

Still, one of these laptop types, is about as inspiring as a wet fart. I can totally understand why Saints are struggling.

Also down below us are Birmingham and Wrexham, both not particularly good to watch and with managers struggling to adjust to this level despite spending money like it's going out of fashion.

We can moan about Sheehan - perhaps justifiably so, on occasion - but it would likely be much worse with some of these in charge. Grass isn't always greener.

Three points off the play offs isn't bad when you consider how shit we're supposed to be.

I'm not saying we are shit. We have an excellent keeper and the defence generally seems to concede few goals. We also have some decent midfield players. It's creating chances, scoring goals, and having some exciting games to watch is the issue. We have won 2 out of 7 at home, and most of the games have been utter dross to watch. I have serious doubts that this manager can get a consistent tune out of this squad ,never mind playing attractive exciting football. He's certainly not going to attract fans back with his brand of football. Vipotnik bailed him out of a hole yesterday, because i fear that a draw yesterday would have got the crowd turning on him.

Can't argue about us not being pretty to watch at the moment. I'm still think Sheehan is the right man for us, if we stick with him through this tricky period.

He's still got some credit in the bank after last season with me, if that makes sense.

Agree about yesterday getting potentially toxic if we hadn't won.

Our 4 wins have come against the botrom 4 teams in the league.
We have struggled against thise teams around us.
Even Wrexham with all their new llayers to bed in managed draws away agajnst Boro ( actually going ahead) and at Leicester...the same Leicester who beat us at home a few days later.

Is that the same Wrexham who have got points away from home ( scoring goals in each game) against Boro who we lost to away and Leicester who turned us over at home a couple of days later.

Have you considered supporting Wrexham?

Sheehan, courtesy of Vip has a small window of breathing space now and surely no one expects anything against the Gallaghers. I really hope he takes advantage of it. We clearly were trying to be more adventurous yesterday, with attempts at through balls and some (not enough) driving runs. The Narch comms said that Sheehan was screaming at Eom when he played the ball back instead of going forward, so I think he’s earned that breathing space, but it needs to progress, and his picks and subs are still bizarre (he was within a gnats whisker of taking off Vip before he scored…let’s hope that’s his lucky turning point.)

Yeah, but Wrexham failed to beat bankrupt Sheffield Wednesday at home and nearly lost to them.
Cherry picking games is pointless. The table is the table and it really doesn't matter which teams you accumulate your points against.

It's a load of nonsense and another attempt to discredit the manager and the team.

Not at all....Andrew North Hill s post made out that Wrexhams manager hasnt a clue....
Lets trt to deal with facts not crap
Wrexham also beat Millwall.......no cherry picking as is said anyone can beat anyone in this league....and we are only a quarter of the way in lets keep bold statements anout other teams managers until the seasons end.
I stand by my statement which is true 4 wins v the bottom teams.
I wasnt out ti discredit my team or its manager just tryimg to rationalise other comments

Lets keep bold statements about our own manager until the end of the season and actually start supporting him and the team.

Do you actually go to games?

Oh yes and at a guess have probably attended more than yoy have to date
I was there Wednesday night and yesterday even stayed to clap the players into the tunnel even afrer the poor showing against QPR

I admit I am not convinced about Sheehans leadership but I will support him and the team on matchdays but that doesnt mean I have to be a blind happy clapper....I have been concerned over how he managed rhe preseason and by some of his decisions throughout the season....make no mistake its was Vips vision that got him of jail yesterday
Many fans are dissillusioned many empty seats around me yesterday and in other areas of the stadium.
Yes I go to games and also watch whatnis happening away from the ball which olayers are making runs ..etc ...the activity in the technical area....

Just because some fans are critical it dieant mean they are lesser supporters....by the way I called Rusty out early ...I took loads of crap for that ...look how that turned out
