• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Reading our Bee mates message board on who they want in the play-offs, I see constant reference to Cheating Swansea.

https://griffinpark.org/index.php?threads/who-do-you-want-fear.135257/

This has been a common theme on their board since January as far as I can see. Its also risen its head on other teams boards occasionally.

Personally, I don't believe we have a cheating team. Yes a player has gone down easily now and again, not often, but it has happened, just the same as it has with players of other teams.

Anyone think we actually deserve this tag.

I know I felt it got to refs after we had a few last minute penalties, where a few decisions didn't go our way after a few managers complained. I hope this doesn't effect decisions in the play-offs as I for one believe this tag is totally undeserved.

I think they need to have a look at how penalties they get before pointing the finger at us the cheeky twats.

I think a lot of it probably stems from Colin's ranting which got far more publicity than it deserved tbh but I don't understand how we can be held responsible for a referee's decision to disallow their goal and then award us a late penalty but then that's footy fans for you, logic doesn't come into it. Naughton's against Stoke was 50/50 and I recall Manning getting a yellow for simulation earlier in the season but I don't think we're any worse than most teams at all levels.

They should look at themselves first,
1. going down too easy, cheating
2. slamming how other Managers look!!!
3. Too confident in my opinion

PO are over 3 games, anything could happen. The Bees may even fail again. LoL

I agree with Sourness's thoughts yesterday on the modern game, all clubs/players have to take a look at themselves.

‘oh no, they killed Canos. You bastards’

Precious jumped up diving noddies. Look in the mirror if you want to see cheats.

Canos has gone down more times than Katie Price.

They're the most deluded fans except them down the road, they're clearly falling for the Sky love in with them, they truly believe they're something special etc.. they're as weak as kitten's defensively.

They were earlier in the season but since they changed to 5 at the back they've kept 7 clean sheets in 8 games, conceding 1 goal. That goal was a penalty.

We do have a team who use the dark arts. You'd have to be massively bias not to believe that.

It the hypocrisy that annoys me. Ivan Toney and Sergi Canos seem to dive a lot too, and Pontus Jansson always leave elbows in.

Also, both benches are a bad as each other shouting for every foul! It's always fun watching us play them - added spice that you don't get from many behind closed doors games as the management teams hate each other!

Spot on.

It started with the soft red card in the playoffs and even though that ended up being rescinded and they went through anyway, a lot of them have had a problem with us since then.

Any objective analysis would show they are just as prone to the dark arts as we are, but they seem blinded to that in their desperation to reach the PL. Given their lack of success throughout their existence and their dismal playoff record, I suppose you can't really blame them.

Yes, it's probably borne from frustration, and maybe partly because of the manner of the draw at our place. Their playoff record is abysmal. This is the 10th playoff and they haven't won one yet.

Amazingly 6 out of those 10 times they finished 3rd..Once they actually finished 2nd, but the the league was being restructured so they had to go into the playoffs! Couldn't have happened to a nicer fanbase

And one of those 3rd place finishes was followed by losing to us in the semi-finals!

Although we obviously went on to lose to Barnsley in the final, the differences in what happened to the clubs since then must hurt them. We got to the PL playing glorious football admired by all, won a major Cup final, played in Europe, stayed in the PL for 7 seasons, etc. Meanwhile, they made it to the Championship eventually and if anyone outside their corner of London thinks of them, it's probably as serial bottlers.
