    All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

    Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

    It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

    The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

    Thank you though for all the memories

Have to bring any cheese out of the fridge for an hour or 2 fir flavour to develop, especially a stinky camembert or a ripe blue, fantastic with a drop of red

Mature to vintage hard cheese's...yes!

Soft and/or smelly cheeses...NOPE!

(That said I used to love the lamb burger in the Rake before it closed... it had a large chunk of brie in it)
 
Grapes and cheese is a great combo. For those poo-pooing cheese and fruit. I’d give that a go, might change your mind.

Saying that, I know there’s a lot of fancy cheese choices you can make, but nothing beats a good Jacob’s cream cracker, real butter with some mature cheddar or caerphilly.

I’m a bit partial to nibbling on some Italian hard cheeses like Grana Padano as well.

I had a cup of tea with a huge piece of fruit cake as i went to sit by my table the old guy said do you want some Wensleydale on that?

I said what cheese and he goes yes, you will never regret it….i went for it, it is one of the finest experiences of comfort food i have ever tasted, I regularly have a bit of Wensleydale on a slice of fruit cake as a special treat now.

My other dirty secret is marmalade on toast…with a nice vintage cheddar!

How about that you fruit on cheese haters !!

There isn’t a cheese out there that i wont eat, although American cheese is a very poor imitation of the real thing.

Oh yes! Have ate that combo a good few times. I tend to Welsh it up a bit by having Bara brith with a lump of Caerphilly, but most cheddary type cheeses would go, I would have thought.
 
A square of chocolate and the same size chunk of cheese, pop them in your mouth the same time. Sounds gross but it's a life changer.
