Loved cheese, the strong mature stuff, trouble is we dont do much dairy these days, havent drunk cows milk for nigh on 10 years, oat milk is mainly what we us, even for cooking, like, Yorkshire puds.
I digress, loves a bit of Stilton over Chistmas. Did try some vegan cheddar from Morrisons, it was ok with crackers and a nice tomato chutney, haven't bothered since. 🧀

Strangely enough, my wife hasn’t been able to look at cows’ milk since she had Covid 7 months ago. She only has oat milk now.
Has Covid messed with her taste buds or something? To be honest i don't think i will ever go back to cows milk. The oat stuff is more than palatable. Soya milk when having a latte or cappuccino when out and about.

Any extra strong mature grated on baked beans is alright with me.
Does anyone still have cheese on toast?

The other day we replaced mature cheddar and instead sprinkled grated mozzarella on our beans. Mind-blowing improvement in my view, as it melted beautifully. Caution: strands of mozzarella may burn your chin!

Not many days go past without me having some sort of cheese. Had some lovely Manchego (Spanish) at lunchtime today with some crackers, my daughter gave it to me for fathers' day. Also had some grapes, dark chocolate Brazils and some Cadbury's Dairy Milk all on the same plate and a #5 strength decaff coffee. Was rather a strange lunch to be fair, everything apart from the grapes was a fathers' day present. My wife 'compiled' it but then she is a bit weird  That's nothing compared with some of the rolls she used to do for me when I was working on building sites though, used to have my colleagues in stitches, especially the one that had Maltesers in it!

My calling card for my wife is me taking a huge bite out of whatever I prepare for her. She regularly gets a laugh in the staff room when she unpacks a sandwich or slice of pizza with one third missing.

This is also nice. If you can get a ball of really nice mozzarella like burrata (tesco sell it) put it in the middle of a plate.
Chop some cherry tomatoes and put them in a bowl and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil. Squeeze of lemon and very finely chopped basil and leave to marinate. Toss sone olives in too if you like them.
Get a few slices of ciabatta and stick them on a griddle pan to toast. Once done rub some garlic on them and put the tomatoes around the mozzarella on the plate.

Scoop up the cheese and tomatoes with the bread. Heaven

Treat ourselves to British cheeses at Christmas for variety on the cheeseboard. Cornish Yarg, Beenleigh Blue etc etc

I love this, right up my street. Also love a good halloumi, fried along with batter fried zucchini.
With tzatziki and Greek pitta.
Makes my mouth water just thinking of it. 😎

I have spoken to more than several people who can't drink coffee anymore since having covid.

The only cheese I've ever disliked is Stinking Bishop....it...well..stinks...really bad...

finding it very difficult to find any decent Welsh cheese in any UK wide supermarket apart from Colliers cheddar..no Caerphilly anywhere...even the cheap stuff...

Is that to do with the coffee or the milk?

The original caerphilly is lovely, but the waxy processed stuff you get in the supermarkets is not good. Have you tried Swansea market Bryn?
