"The implications with that (are effective) immediately, with the FA Youth Cup game that was scheduled to take place at the stadium on Saturday with Southampton. That was moved to Leamington's ground.

"Club officials have been informed that they have to return their keys, their access cards. They've also been given what's been called a reasonable amount of time to remove property owned by the Sky Blues."

Eviction is eviction?

Sounds like the game may be postponed

"Coventry are away to Reading when their Championship campaign resumes on Saturday and their next scheduled home fixture is against Swansea on 17 December"

I thought Mike Ashley came in and saved the day? What’s the score with that? I know we bitch and moan about our owners but imagine being a Cov fan. It must be hard work.

He bought the ground not the club

I know he was involved somehow. I thought the whole point of him buying it was to avoid this exact situation?

Business man first football owner second.

Who knows if this his way of pressuring the incoming owner to sell to him.
There was talk that the new owner was willing to pay more for the ground but Ashley had already agreed a lower figure within the time limit.

Personally I can't see any way that our game won't go ahead .

Ashley did look to be in talks to take over Derby, if he ever has future thoughts of being involved in football, then the FA, Football League, Premier wouldn't look kindly at a man who either forced a postponement or a forced move to another venue.

Gut feeling is money games open salvo.

Even if he postponed a couple of games or got Cov evicted, I reckon the FA would still give him the ok on the fit and proper person test.
Seems even murderers and scam artists can pass it.
But then again, a few quid buys you a World Cup tournament.
