Games against Rotherham United, Wigan Athletic and Huddersfield Town were postponed after the pitch was deemed in an unplayable condition at the Coventry Building Society Arena



"1. Subject to paragraph 4 below, a five (5) point deduction to be suspended for the remainder of the 2022/2023 season and the 2023/2024 season.

"4. The suspended points deduction shall be applied immediately upon any charge being proven, or admitted, relating to any further missed fixture of the Club in the 2022/2023 season and/or 2023/2024 season.

Initially, this seems a bit harsh on the club. They don’t own the ground/pitch do they? So not sure what they could have done.
 
Very harsh. EFL needs to take a long hard look at the the business ethics of our neighbours up the road. Transfer embargo doesn’t even come close.
 
I think that's harsh on Coventry.
Like renting a house and being billed for damage due to a landlords neglect.

Yet it seems our Eastern cousins are getting away with murder.
Kill a player who they claimed they didn't own.
Take it through every sport appeal going, putting the family and friends through even more grim reminders...
And get a transfer embargo to stop them buying even more sh1te players.

Has to be a bigger points deduction than Luton got for their financial state, or any club gets for entering administration.
