• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

There has been a bit of controversy/moaning about our goal yesterday with Ronald obstructing their keeper (something other sides seem to have done to us for years and Arsenal seem to have perfected in the PL).

Whilst at the game yesterday i noticed a few times that we were being very “professional” at throw in’s, counter attacks etc and virtually taking players out by holding /obstructing etc. Gary Monk famously stated after a Stoke City game that we would never cheat to win after Victor Moses and dived for a pen and we seemed to suffer afterwards by being too nice to the opposition, have we become street wise or have we lost our class and are we turning into cheats?

It's really not as bad as some people are making out, most corners there's at least some holding by either side and we've had plenty of our strikers held in the box.

It's like saying the Yellow Cards they took stopped us from scoring goals. It's football and people need to stop crying over it. Especially them, the most boring football team on the planet.

Don't care, if we win and it works. Kyle's pen at Stoke still makes me chuckle, but boy did we pay for that in the media, as if no one else does it.

There was a little bit of keeper obstruction and tugging, but I think it was over by the time the ball came across him. He tried to make too much of it and the ref rightly ignored him. Well done Ronald (?).
I think we did get the rub of the green with the ref yesterday, Norton should have had a second yellow for his shoulder barge towards the end.

Happens in every game, professional and amateur. Sometimes you get away with it, mostly you don’t. Until they start penalising every instance of it, it’ll never go away.

Would have been chalked off with VAR.
We were due one so feck 'em.
