David Beckham

Yep bad. Just as bad are the international FA‘s for not boycotting the thing. Thousands of workers killed. Get an alternative competition started between Europe and South America. Fifa , Budweiser, Coca Cola and the rest can do one.

A disgrace of a decision to award it to them initially, with corruption all over it at the end of the Blatter era. Why it wasn't cancelled for umpteen sound reasons and changed to a viable host country sod knows.

Qatar size:- 11571km2

Wales size:- 20779km2

It's like playing a World Cup at a posher Hackney Marshes with blood drenched stadia that need misting systems to stop the crowds from collapsing with heat exhaustion.

Does the world cup belong to christian / catholic countries only?

Some of the people i see moaning about this, are quick enough to have "banter" about misogyny / homophobia / Muslims etc. Same ones who are suddenly human rights activists since the Geordie takeover.

Nowt as queer as folk as they say.

Construction workers dying whilst completing stadia for world cups and Olympics is an unfortunately not new fact.
This amount though is staggering.

Who is in charge of looking into this?

Or is it a case of not rocking the boat

Shocking standards of safety in the construction industry in Dubai has never seemed to be an issue for the rich escaping for a bit of winter sun either

It belongs in a country where everyone is welcome.
That should be the only criteria.

What country wholeheartedly welcomes gays? muslims? Trans? Successful women?

The United Kingdom most certainly don't.

Or shall we pretend that it does, because someone wants to be outraged on a football forum?

You’re very silly lately. You surely aren’t comparing the UK to Qatar?
F*cking hell.

Why don’t you just say what you think of David Beckham becoming an ambassador for a country lacking big time in human rights.

I do apologise for not being up to your standards too,so sorry.
