I saw a piece on tv yesterday about the lady and gentleman in this article where they were talking with Bill and it was heartbreaking. Luckily we’ve been fortunate not to have had any close family suffering with this horrible disease so I can only try to imagine what it would be like to care for someone with dementia. As I type there’s another piece on tv now about another family caring with a dementia. So sad.

Somebody very close is in the late stages of this horrible disease, it’s heart breaking.

I have some experience of this, my Uncle who was virtually like a older brother when I was growing up, suffered with it he's passed now, but its a shocking disease its another one of those disease's that takes all one's dignity away, sadly there's far to many other conditions that do the same as well, a lot of decent people who have led decent law abiding lives are and have suffered some disgusting horrible disease's.

Apparently there is a God, I despair on times.

😢😢😢

This isn’t aimed at you or anyone Monsta but she’s not well and her syndrome has caught up with and I’m not looking for sympathy.
I doubt she’ll ever go to the Swans again, not that that’s the top of life’s priorities of course.

So sad Dar, thoughts are with you.

Awful. I can’t imagine what you’re going through.

My father died of dementia 5 years after diagnosis but he was 89 and had lived a good life. Those 5 years were hell for my mother though.

I'm so sorry to hear that Darran; you and your family have my heartfelt sympathies.

My mum passed away 3 weeks ago at 87. It was dementia that took her too. For the last few years I could tell that her short term memory was fading but memories from her young life were clear till close to the end. I remember the last time I saw her in Bloomfield Care Home in August I asked her if she could remember my dad, her husband or the house she lived in in Wimmerfield for 60 years. There was not a hint of recognition of either.

Stay strong buddy.

That's fucking awful mate. Trying to find words of solace but I'm just left with my mouth agape.

Take care butt.

Lost for words mate, honestly my heart goes out to you and your family, met Amy the once and we had a photo opportunity, she comes across as a happy bubbly soul, I'm kind of lost for words tbh

I agree with all that's been written, me and Dazzer have had several conversations over Amy's cruel and sad condition, he has my support and best wishes.
