I am pretty much left wing and have little issue with controlled immigration. I have three Afghan families living opposite as part of resettlement schemes and that's fine. I work in Africa and Asia and my world view is people are people. But if a certain group are demonstrably problematic (whether Irish travellers, black British, white asbo specialists or whoever) to the wider community then there should be the capacity to control that activity for all residents. It's not about race it is about the anti-social and criminal activity,
This is actually incredibly reassuring to hear.

Because of a lack of honesty on the part of many the Far right have had so much traction and stolen the narrative.

Just because they are a defined as a “race” they shouldn’t be protected from their actions. They should be expected to abide by laws.

No one dare touch them though. Cops are scared of them for one and understandably.

Apparently moved the burning to Baglan tonight...
'Operation Timmia' aside, along with other criminal activity, that has made headlines, what is being made public by yourself and other sources totally vindicates the protests/campaigns from the area's shortlisted for a 'super-site' in 2013.

And like I previously mentioned Swansea City Council knew exactly what would and should be expected from a super-site development.

And onto the BBC (shame on them) who visited one of the families on the shortlist on two separate occasions (many years apart) to present a totally false narrative. You know the usual lefty-loon bulls**t i.e. deeply misunderstood victims of a callous and uncaring modern society.

QUOTE: "Burning plastic creates dioxins, which are highly toxic, cancer-causing chemicals that can damage the immune and endocrine systems, and interfere with reproductive processes. "

Why didn't the BBC mention that hey????

This is how Wales online has reported it this evening...

This is obviously fed by the council. Not a single mention on any council communication that it is the gypsies burning rubbish causing the fires. Just congratulations for the crack council team who worked out where big massive fires were coming from!

Obviously the council don't want residents waking up to what they are quietly trying to do.

It'll be interesting what happens now regarding behaviour regarding cable fires? Will it stop, or will it continue?

On the subject of the Britton Ferry lot i.e. some are right into their scrap collecting, and have a rather un-generic traveller sounding name i.e. NOT Joyce, Doherty, Mcginley or Ward etc. They have branched out further afield into Swansea area locating 'business' there also.

Also some of the Swansea Joyce family/clan have diversified into roofing.

In fact a (same family/clan?) young traveller in his twenties has been cold calling in SA4 postcode area and beyond recently notifying householders that they have a loose tile on their roof. He is wearing a printed business 'T' shirt complete with mobile phone number. Wonder what standard of his craftsmanship is like LOL!!!!

Glad I don’t live near there!

But I suppose the council will do naff all, from reading the article it looks pretty straightforward be robust and smash them, but of course there are young kids there, so apart from turfing them out, how do you actually stop this?

I suppose even if the council going down the legal route, it will take a long time.

Off the top of my head, any more reports go in mob handed, police fire brigade, soak the place, and the police start shaking down all the residents, and doing drugs searches because they can smell cannabis in the air, then any money, a bit above usual, tear the caravan apart, and just keep on coming back, but harder every time.

If I was a police commissioner, I would eradicate this problem within a few weeks of getting in office.
