• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

is that the Cinnamon Kitchen in Port Talbot?
Is the Set meal for two really only £30 and can you still bring your own grog?

Aberavon seafront, don’t serve booze so bring your own, great wall art and tell them Darran sent you.

When I lived with mum and dad I used to get din dins on the table when I got home from work. Now I don’t know if I’ve told you lot this before but no word of a lie I came home, starving hungry, delighted to be told a curry was no more than 10 minutes away. Chuffed I was to see the jar of sauce on the counter. Belting, I thought, she’s not tried to make one from scratch, it should be ok. Quick wash and back down to enjoy my scran, my expectation being an enjoyable nosh on some pre-prepared sauce and fresh chicken, what could go wrong.

The first mouthful tasted odd but not disgusting I pondered. On approach to my gob I noticed a cherry on my second attempt. On further inspection I noticed a grape, some pineapple and mango, indeed quite a mixture I wondered. Surprised by this I questioned it to be told the jar of sauce was complemented by a tin of fruit cocktail as and I quote “there were no bananas left”.

Thoughts appreciated?
