Swansea City return to League action tomorrow after a slightly shorter off season break with a trip to newly promoted Rotherham United – what does this season have in store for Russell Martin and his team? My team would be;

Fisher

Naughton
Wood
Cabango
Darling
Manning

Fulton
Grimes

Pato
Piroe
Obafemi

But knowing Russ, latibeaudiere and Sorinola are guaranteed starters.

Barring something unexpected like an injury or something I am anticipating:

------------------------- Fisher ----------------------------
----- Wood ----------- Cabango ------- Darling --------
Naughton ---------------------------------------- Sorinola
------------- Ntcham ------------ Grimes ----------------
--------------- Paterson -------- Piroe -------------------
----------------------- Obafemi ---------------------------

I still think four at the back will give us better balance but RM is hellbent on making 5-3-2 work even without proper wingbacks to support it (a critical non negotiable position)

I don't think he's pushing 3 5 2 this year as he played a 4 3 3 for at least 45 mins in every pre season game. It just didn't look good last week and from that I can't see him doing it tomorrow and would be right to revert to type as everyone looked more comfortable.

He will not play Naughton as a wing back in a million years.

I just hope its Sarinola and Manning as wing backs and not Lati. Lati as a wing back absolutely killed us last season.

I'd like Grimes and Ntcham but based off pre season Fulton will play. Baffling to me seen as we want him gone and his lack of football ability can be an issue for us in deepest midfield role.

They say never change your bet but I did forget about Sarinola.

He didn't exactly set the world on fire pre season, let's hope he improves very very quickly
