• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

The Cult again, this time at Cardiff Castle the day after my birthday. Whoop.

My son was only 2 when Busted were formed and only 7 when they broke up and had been a big fan but he was already into metal, even at that early age and always followed Charlie Simpson's career, especially his post-hardcore metal band Fightstar so not sure he'd be interested in Busted these days  . Now my son is 25 and last year, he bought one of Charlie's guitars for a few grand and it's the silver grey one he's playing in this pic.

2 gigs for me this weekend.

Friday, my son's band I/O play their first ever gig at The Cobblestones, Bridgwater. I've been looking forward to this for 25 years! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Saturday, my birthday, one of my favourite live bands, Mostly Autumn, at The Wharf, Tavistock, Devon. Great little venue, great band.

MOSTLY AUTUMN TOUR DATES
2023
April 1 Sat | The Wharf Tavistock
TICKET LINK

In between, I'm hoping for a great result at the Lego so it doesn't spoil my weekend. ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽

I hope he enjoys his gig, as I’m sure you’ll enjoy it no matter what. No pressure on him then? 😁🎸🤘
PS
Happy Birthday for Saturday, and you’ll definitely enjoy that gig.

Looks like a Lukather signature model.

My current obsession is Volbeat but they toured last year. So this shouldn’t be here really.

No it shouldn’t.

Nice to see your taste has improved somewhat though.

I'll ask my son. All I know is that Charlie Simpson had them specially made with non-standard pickups. I'll get back to you!

Good band, put on a great show in Cardiff.

That was quick. Just had a reply!

It's made by Paul Reed Smith Guitars in Maryland, USA and it's a PRS Custom 24 in Platinum with EMG pickups. And here it is hanging on my son's wall in the picture he just sent me. :D

Great band. Their last single had some airplay on Planet Rock fair play.
