Bill Bruford played at Swansea Jazz Club a few years ago with his Earthworks band. I was obviously a huge fan of his from his earlier King Crimson and Yes days but he was always a jazz drummer at heart. A really lovely guy and a wonderful drummer. 👍

I can’t put my finger on why, but along with Coldplay, I blame these young chaps with causing the end of Rock N Roll as we knew it.
Daytime radio killed good music. Still absolutely masses of brilliant music out there and always will be but the vast majority of the public will never get to hear any of it and will deify the mediocrity they hear on a daily basis. The public don't care because they are not aware of the difference between what they are passively spoonfed and real talent. I'm not a fan of platforms like Spotify but if you take a look you will find hundreds of bands I can guarantee you have never heard of who have quite literally billions of streams to their names and massive global audiences.

I’ve actually found the majority of new music I love through Instagram of all places, then on Spotify.
Seen Billy Strings, Stephen Wilson Jr and Marcus King in the last year. Made the effort to watch 2 unsigned bands I love too.
The algorithm knows good music 😂

I don't have an Instagram account but I have discovered a few bands suggested to me by YouTube, most notably Amaranthe from Sweden and Beyond the Black from Germany, both of which I've since seen and enjoyed live as a direct result, plus a French outfit called M83 and all 3 have enriched my listening.
