It's the modern world i guess Eb, especially for the younger generation. Same at the football, same whenever there is any sort of public order incident. Glad they weren't around in my youth that's for sure.

There is a video on youtube where Alex Lifeson from Rush gets pissed off with a fan who is holding a phone right in front of him with the torchlight and flash on constant as he is playing. You can hear him yelling 'stop, just please stop'.

To be fair a lot of the gigs I go to people do take the odd pic / video, but never stand there all night filming the whole thing which is very odd indeed. Enjoy the moment and not your phone.

Each to their own but I tend to agree. If you want videos as keepsakes that’s cool but I’ll be content with memories. The Cult is probably my favourite rock band and I can’t imagine missing half of it to take photos and videos, I’m too busy bopping and singing. 👀😂

Yes - very sad news about that. Saw Microdisney live circa 1986/7 - he was very pissed off that the audience weren't responsive so cut the gig after about 30 mins. :? Their bass player was a prolific NME contributor at the time too.

I'll give that band a listen as I get Marc Riley's show as a podcast :thumbsup_tone1: - thanks for the recommendation

Ah Beak bailed out in the end due to 'unforeseen circumstances'. You might like them though, they have a Can vibe to them

I'll give them a listen on spotify :thumbsup_tone1:

I should be going to see Liam Gallagher in Knebworth this Saturday too - but can't make it anymore. If anyone knows anyone who would like a ticket then send me a pm. I'd accept any reasonable offer around £60 - face value is £75

Sorry about that,I absolutely love Knebworth I’ve been there three times.

  w@nker

Being dragged to Keane next week but actually looking forward to it.

The Kaiser Chiefs played Ffos Las in the week.....poorly advertised.

Was reading bits and bobs about that festival in Margam over the weekend. Did not go quite they way they panned with a few acts bailing out, acts brought forward because of wind and nowhere near sold out. Sad for the organisers as they have probably made a loss. It was a bit ambitious though for its first year.

It's claim as biggest festival in Wales was a bit bold as Greenman sells out in a few hours a year in advance.

I’ve heard it went well.

My mate Hoppy's company was used for a lot of their PA system and lights. He says otherwise as they were expecting a certain number of tickets to be sold. They were still on sale at midday today which is unheard of at festivals.

Sorry I meant I know loads that went and had a brilliant time.

I hope it went well.
The Streamline events company were very thorough in planning what booze they wanted and ordered well in advance.

What acts pulled out?

Edit. Just looked at Facebook and it seems to have gone well.
The main stage was damaged by high winds so acts had to be moved
Many of the comments are very positive.

"Welsh Glastonbury" in the making?🤔😊
