I've only just seen this but it's 4 years old, so I apologise if it's a ferdy.

I'm amazed at how brave these children are - they're five and seven, but they are articulate and can read maps and aren't phased by how big London is - heck, I know a lot of adults who wouldn't have done as well. I did notice that some of the kids at the start didn't get to the finish, which is very understandable.

Quick question: how young were you when you went to see the Swans by yourself? In my case, it was when I was 9 but it was an easy journey.

And if you're a parent, when were you comfortable about letting your children go to see the Swans without you? Same question for people who have children, how old would they need to be to go to the Liberty by themselves?

Are children less independent than when you were their age?

We underestimate the intelligence of children, and in most cases teach it out of them for 12 years straight.

You're right about adults, my wife would struggle to find her way out of an empty room even if it only had one door.
