Strange name for an album isn’t it?
It’s by someone called Billy Woods and it came 10th in The Guardian’s 50 Best Albums of 2025.
Black fella he is and I get he’s trying to be all edgy towards racism but it’s still a strange name for an album.

I think I get it. The album seems to be about oppression of black people, so calling it Golliwog would seem to tie in with that theme.

He's an intriguing fellow, Woods. I've never heard any of his stuff, but one day...

I can now claim to have listened to some of his stuff, albeit only about fifteen seconds.
