Started this season well (better players around him?) but last season he was poor.
Probably ween in England as another Tom Carroll who was well considered.
Smith is an upgrade but would need another to replace him.

Agree. Grimes in The Premier league? Your ‘aving a giraffe.
A very one dimensional player, that would never survive there.
If his, and Rodon’s transfer money was invested into strengthening the team, we could have had a very good go at promotion, as I think there’s a lot of mediocre sides in this league.
As it is, with these hedge fund tossers, little or none of it, will be made available to the manager.
And when your immediate boss texts you the morning of a game, not to include a player in the match day squad, it’ll only be a question of time before Steve Cooper says, “That’s my lot, shove your job up your @rse, I’m off”

that's a top draw one ,you Melt........... He can't nut a ball ,his shooting is woeful ,he's scored one goal in five years ,his tackling is poor ,very few defence-splitting passes if any ..o hang on .he's good at ten yard passes preferable sideways and backwards , he'll be a star in the prem :lol: :lol:

I was quite critical of Grimes last season, but in fairness to him I don't think he was particularly helped by being partnered with Byers for the most part.

I'd be surprised if he ever cut it as more than a squad player in the Prem, but with a more rugged midfield around him in Smith and MGW he could have a better season for us this time around.

If he was foreign with an exotic name Alan would be all over him like a rash. Wouldn’t know a decent midfielder if if but him on the arse. Then again I’m surprised he knows who Matthew Grimes is, what with being a Bournemouth fan and all.
