• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I was in Sainsbury's this afternoon, and they had sold out of Guinness. I got talking to a lady stocking the shelves, and she said they can't get enough in; it's flying off the shelves. Students are buying it due to a trend on TikTok where they "split the G" on the Guinness glass. Pubs are struggling to get Guinness in, too, apparently.

Fooking, young people enjoying themselves, when will this madness end 🤪

The George on Walters road had plenty, the landlady mentioned that brewery's seem to be supplying the pubs that sell the most of it.

There’s always this.

There’s always this.

That was on the shelf beside the empty Guinness spot! I was tempted, perhaps I'll get some later in the week 🤔

My normal Guinness routine is to get some cans in for Christmas, not touch them and then end up binge drinking them just before the BBE date.

You're not alone.

I've drunk one can from the twelve I bought for Christmas.

Will have a bash in February (trying to stay dry for the remainder of January).
Same here, original plan is January, I'm going to see how long after that I can last without a drink.

I didn’t start until yesterday so was non-compliant 1st to 4th Jan. Breaking habits is key; hurdle #1 is tomorrow, got a work event so will try and manoeuvre myself as designated driver. Hurdle #2 will be Friday night, we like to cook something nice, but it won’t be the same with a lime and soda in hand.

It’s horrible stuff anyway. People always used to tell me “oh it’s different when you drink it in Ireland, you get the proper stuff”. Went to Dublin, Shannon and a few other places there. Still shite.
