• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Hope everyone had a great couple of days

Took a couple of days away from here to enjoy some family time (bar a little hoovering yesterday morning - just a word to anyone who may read "sometimes", each post has a report button it is far more efficient to use that to show your displeasure about a post) but back in the saddle again today to report on all the boxing day football and Swans action...

What is everyone's hopes for the New Year?

The eradication of covid would be my biggest wish Phil, plus good health.
Hopefully we can all get back on track and get on wiith our lives.

Wouldn't that be great - not sure eradication is an option but if we could at least get to the stage where we can live with it fully

I did have quite a few chuckles yesterday at the reaction to some - not surprisingly on facebook - to a certain text arriving about booster jabs

My favourite was the guy who replied with "fuck off" as if he expected it to go through

Facebook has been a bin fire the last few days regarding boosters. But tHey dId tHeir OwN reSeaRch from the phd they studied hard for from the school of life and youtube. The irony being it is their own disobedience that has brought us into another mess.

That would certainly be my priority too Dicky, although like Phil, I also think eradication is unlikely, but if we can get it, at worst, into the same position as influenza, that would be a massive step forward. 👍👍👍👍👍

Second on my list would be getting rid of Johnson then hopefully a few more pricks like Patel, Rees-Mogg & Gove et al. 👍👍👍👍👍

On a personal level, I hope my already booked trip to Iceland goes ahead in March (that's the country Darran, not the supermarket) after having to cancel it in 2020 and 2021.👍👍👍 Retirement in April or at least taking a very back seat! Haven't even considered rebooking my Peru trip canceled in 2020 and I'm just hoping I will be physically up to it whenever it does become feasible again as I'll be 70 in April (ffs! grumpy old git or what?)

You’ll fit in nicely out there with all the other old geyser‘s. 👀
