• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Improvements have been there to see and while we lacked that little bit of a cutting edge in the first half all four goals in the second were excellent in their own ways.

For the first Jamal Lowe covered so much ground, he ran from the edge of our own box all the way to their box to get the goal. Pato was subbed right after the goal after a late challenge but the ref played good advantage (almost the only thing he did right the whole game)

The second was an absolute masterpiece of control from Tymon, not only taking the ball down from high in the sky and over his shoulder, but to also do so in a way where he didn't even have to break his stride was incredible. Very unselfish to set up Ronald for a tap in and at first I thought their number 2 was trying to claim a foul from Ronald but it looked like he did in his hammy trying to get back. Suitable revenge for Ronald after some very rough treatment which the ref let go on. Kudos has to go to Rushworth as well for seeing and picking the long pass to Tymon, he has had some criticism for his distribution but this one was absolutely spot on.

The third was Key starting to get back to his best, he covered so much ground yesterday and picked off a long pass. Loads of space to run into and I think that Abdulai can feel a little hard done by to not be credited with the assist, it only took the faintest of nicks off a defender that actually made it harder for Yates.

The fourth was obviously the pick of the bunch. Abdulai gets a bit fortunate after a defender misreads the flight of the ball and gets his header all wrong, but after that he carried it well and the ball to Walsh was the right one to play. Walsh has always had a good long shot on him and this one was perfect, would have struggled to save that with two goalkeepers curling and dipping right into the top corner.

A five minute spell where we seemed determined to gift Huddersfield an equalizer but besides that we pressed high and the moments of quality that we needed in the first half to make the most of our dominance were present in the second half.
