Apparently, the lad was in no danger of being swallowed because a humpback whale's throat is quite narrow. I bet he absolutely shit himself, though.

Does make you think though, for me it looks pretty inconclusive that the whale’s mouth got anywhere near him, when I first saw it on the news last night, it did not look like the whale had swallowed him.

Now with the footage posted above from sky upon zooming in, it looks like a clear capsize.

Strange how they run with the story he was swallowed.
