Alright folks, what do you make of Jaguar and their new car design? Caused a bit of a stir recently with their rebranding.

I have to say, in terms of the concept car design, I love it, I have to say. I'm judging purely on the design, not whether it has any chance at all of selling or being a success in general.

Quite what a final production version will look like is a different matter.

That image is just what the apprentice has knocked up using AI, Shirley?

£100k plus. Not sure what their market is at that price. Even if it works it’s likely to cannibalise LR. They have to try something though. Gammon twats like Clarkson and Nigel Flange weren’t going to save them.

Dreadful, hardly a design classic.
Think Jag may have lost it's way a bit.
All about opinions.

I don’t see this saving them. Porsche with their globalised brand have almost been giving Taycan’s away as part of their employee scheme, and the bottom has fallen out of the second hand market.

What will Jaguar do differently to Porsche? There is zero chat around the industry to suggest that they have technology up their sleeve that nobody else has on the market.

As for production ready by 2026, I doubt it very much. The Chinese are world leaders in time to market and even they would struggle to go from concept art to production in two years. I’d wager it will run at double the development budget and be two years late.

Coops whats the point of spending 30k+ plus on a motor, when you you can walk faster than the actual care in loads of places.
I see them all in their 3ltr twin exhaust motors, but they don't need 3ltrs just a lawnmower engine :ROFLMAO:

No argument from me, Max.

Aye, I think they are done. This looks desperate, and flawed in so many ways.

Shame really, the XK and the F-type were beautifully engineered cars and excellent to drive. LR and Jags much too risky as an ownership proposition though. If you get good ones, they are lovely cars, don’t get a good one and they’ll just shit on you.

I'm skeptical myself about the future of Jaguar; wouldn't be surprised if it goes the same way as Lotus and have their name sold to a chinese EV firm looking to slap something with brand cache on their cars.

One thing they have in their favour is that JLR is basically printing money right now off the back of Range Rover and Land Rover, so they have money to throw at it.

Looks like the whole of the car industry is in the shite. Nissan are on the brink. Volkswagen are having issues. Alfa Romeo are struggling, it's my opinion that this EV bollox has really fooked the industry over.

I took that risk a couple of years ago...traded my Honda Civic in for a 2013 XKR😅 Not been any trouble so far🤞 and I absolutely f*ckin love it.
