Flynn was a dreadful manager for us. He brought in some legends but I believe all those names above signed permanently in his second season when he was sacked after a few weeks for being complete and utter gash.

Flynn was sacked in March. Nearly the whole season. Bit more than a couple of weeks.

He deserves some credit for revamping a relegation bound squad in mid season and keeping us up, even though he made an unnecessarily hard job of it by consistently playing his best striker on the wing. Ultimately his limit as a manager was about mid-table in League Two, which is where we parted ways. Better off than we were when he took over, and leaving something for his successor to work with, which is about the best you can hope for.

Plus there’s his first season where even though he had to clean up Cusacks mess he came in in September and it took him until the last game of the season to save us.
People get deflected by his signings, look at his managerial record with us and it’s complete gash.

Did he refuse to stop for a photo or something ;)

Far from perfect but advanced the team, kept us in the league and set us on the right direction. Which the next managers (again, up to Laudrup) continued to build on

Nah.

And far from perfect. Plus he was taking the piss out of us living in Burnley.

The last sentence i don't disagree with

But that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve some credit for pushing the club forward. Which he did.
