About to become a free agent from Fulham, have no idea if we could afford his wages but maybe a decent sign on fee will make up for a lower wage, would be a great signing.

What position does he play?

Why on Earth would a player of colour come to this club? Seriously? Yet again we are all over the media because of disgusting racism towards a player that’s just left us from our own supporters. Would you come to live here if you were black or of mixed heritage?

Jesus wept, over reaction or what.
He didn't leave cos of abuse FFS.
We have had plenty of players over the years who havnt suffered any abuse/racism.
Yes, those who spread that tone are vile, but keep it real yeah.

Point of note...do you actually live in Swansea?

Aye we are all a bunch of looney racist scum now according to the book of Lisa, the proprietors of the vile racist posts on social media will get jail hopefully and never darken the door of our great club ever again.
But yes, a massive taring of the brush that I personally find offensive.

I didn’t say we all are. Stop twisting what’s been said. But we have a real problem. I’m absolutely fed up of people pretending we don’t.

No one said he did. But we have a real problem. And it needs sorting. And the first part of sorting it is admitting it.
Just seen your question. No, I don’t live in Swansea. I live in London. Which may be why I find it so noticeable in Swansea.

This is the first time I can remember one of our own getting racial abuse on social media, and that is one time too many, but as Saint said, in a nutshell, get real aye ...

Why does the fact it’s one of our own make a difference?

I’ve sat in Swans crowds making bloody monkey noises, it’s disgusting and pathetic. And too many games to count where someone sitting round me has made references to the colour of a player’s skin. Both ours (if they are having a ‘bad game’) and opposition players.

And so have I, but not for many, many years, if anyone around me decided to act in this way around me now, both home or away they would get told, in no uncertain terms, by myself.
When was the last time you heard someone racially abusing a player by the way Lisa? and did you say anything?

I suppose that's why Whittaker doesn't want to stay and wants to go to ..... Rangers, that well known bastion of tolerance. Jaysus Facking Wept! I suppose Ntcham, Cabango and Sorinola will all be in with transfer requests first thing tomorrow. Facking hell!

It's bang out of order, but how many times has the club come out with statments after our players have been racially abused by the fans of other clubs? It's not us that has a problem it's most clubs, which is a sad reflection of society in general. For years we could say things were gradually getting better, but sadly I think that's no longer the case thanks in no small part to social media giving a voice to the brainless.

I been watching us for around 45 yrs, and hand on heart have never been near or heard our lot doing monkey noises. The racist scum look to me to be online, I been in the north east corner ever since the Liberty opened up....never heard a monkey chant.

You’re very naïve Saint, to think that we don’t have a problem, even if relatively small- it’s still a problem.
Been following the swans since 1985, not as long as you. But to say, you’ve not witnessed any form of racism by our fans, you’ve either had your earplugs in from your Walkman in the vetch days, or your oblivious.
A few examples:
Nathan Blake used to get tones of abuse from the west side of the NB. As much as I despise Blake, there’s no need for that.
Don Page, Wigan Athletic 1989, when the whole side of the West part of the NB had it
Carl Richards of Peterborough, are just a few examples
More recently Seb Bassong of Norwich in 2013 I think had racist abuse.
So, it has been and clearly is still there, which is a sad indictment in this day and age.
