• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

There’s a brilliant vid on one of the Ferry groups of the jazz band playing GSTQ on their xylophone thingys which turns straight into Search Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau

I had tears rolling down my fat chops listening to that it was outstanding.

Good to hear that community spirit is alive and kicking in some parts, certainly not the case where we are.🤷‍♂️
Enjoy the festivities NJ👍

I'm in the house decorating mate

Have a look at the Welsh news tonight, it'll be on there again. It used to be a fantastic day out, but it stopped about 25 years ago, hopefully it passes with no incident and can become and annual event again.

Great day NJ not a hint of trouble, everyone just enjoying what was a cracking day

Not much in the way of bunting in the Bont. I know of one street party that's happening. There's been a huge transfer to complete indifference about the royals here since 1977.

I think Charles will be a good King of a much slimmed down royalty....I expect Highgrove and Sandringham, and maybe Balmoral will be sold off.....but if push came to shove, and a new conflict began between Royalists and Parliamentarian Democratics, I will most definitely be on the side of the Roundheads Cymraeg!

Main story on BBC Wales news earlier.

Hopefully the council will let them make it an annual event again, some of the organisers should be recognised for their efforts the past 3 years,, tremendous people.

I was expecting to see you today NJ, what a cracking day its been, the bands at the Marquee at Rugby Club were fantastic, What a day except for Bar Red running out of Madri what a drink that is delicious.
Seen loads of people that I haven't seen for years the Page Boys were fantastic, as were the rest of the parade, Outstanding

It's probably the first one I've ever missed to be honest. I could still hear them up there at 10pm last night

The Ferry get's a lot of bad press, but not many communities pull together to put an event on like this. The organisers (who also worked miracles during the lockdown) really should be recognised for their efforts, they are magniicent people.

Needs someone local in a wheelchair to rap over the top of it claiming how "great" Britain is and you've got a sure fire BGT winner there.

I was down Burry Port and the Whiteford Lighthouse was lit last night and the night before.
Only for 2 hours but I thoroughly enjoyed seeing it.
I'm sure the beacon on Cefn Bryn was lit as well.
