Leicester City have been referred to an independent commission by the Premier League for an alleged breach of EFL financial rules while they were in the Championship in the 2023-24 season.

How are you allowed to essentially "cheat" financially one year, get relegated with a team you could afford, and avoid any action because of the relegation. Then "cheat" again with the same team you couldn't afford but not face any action because you were promoted? Time to stop this nonsense, anyone know if they could face a point deduction before the season starts?
 
This has been a long time coming

Sides relegated would dodge EFL punishments by keeping their whole squad together which they could not afford even with parachute payments if they got promoted right away at the first or second time (see Leeds) of asking
