Paul O'Grady 67. Another taken too young.

Awful news.....again.
Came across as a lovely fella, and his love for dogs was great to watch.
RIP fella.

Was in Summer Season on Blackpools North Pier many years ago , as Lily Savage .

Great nights entertainment , Sonia was another act on that bill , she had a great voice too .

Think he left Radio 2 recently under a bit of a cloud unfortunately , part of their cull of the oldie presenters , Ken Bruce and Steve Wright amongst others .

His presenting skills and humour will never be accepted on prime time tele now , not PC .
Instead the viewers are stuck with Ant and Dec and Im an ex celebrity singing dancing skating or masked in the jungle , on ice , dance floor , all should be dumped in a skip , the lot , rubbish TV .

A sad and unexpected loss though .

This 100%

These "new" TV Shows are shocking along with these awful fecking game shows and a lot of it is usually presented by the same "stars" that ridiculous Stephen Mulhern, Ant and fuking Dec etc.

You do get some decent serials and dramas pop up, like the Gold and this new one Blue lights which looks promising, Great expectations that started Sunday was ok as well.

RIP Paul O'Grady.

Surely his presenting skills and humour weren't that different from Graham Norton, one of the BBC's highest earners?

There's a difference between Paul O'Grady and Norton for me, I can't stand Norton.

RIP Paul O'Grady.

Just finished watching Blue Lights, excellent series.

This did shock me somewhat this morning....I know little of his Lily Savage years and stand up, but I read a surprisingly good book of his, and just loved his obvious compassion for dogs and the various programmes he made about them...a thoroughly lovely, compassionate and naturally funny and entertaining bloke whisked away far too early...

Strange people saying he won’t be allowed to present a prime time TV show these days when he presented one up to the end of last year and there was another series planned this year before he died. Odd how people look for things that aren’t there.

I know nothing about any Prime time, he was involved with or not, I should have omitted the first sentence of the quote in Robbie's post that I quoted and quoted from the next sentence down, don't really watch prime unless there somin I particularly want to watch like the Footie, Grand Tour or Clarksons Farm, don't bother with it otherwise, the lad watches Prime quite a lot, I think.

Paul O Grady makes some excellent programmes concerning animal welfare , well done .

Just to clear up a polnt . Lily Savage as a Trans , gobby , straight talking comedian , added to the obvious innuendos of the act they were tolerated . A total no no today .

Graham Norton really comes across as a poor version of the look at me crowd , I am so cool and people love me , a real nudge nudge , wink wink , hey I am gay , but not telling you .

Lily / Paul made me laugh , Norton smirks too much , sure others will disagree .
