• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Not 100% convinced by this signing to be honest, if we are persisting with 352 (I know russ has mentioned 433 aswell), wing backs pretty much need to be our best players, our main attacking outlets, this lad apparently struggled at league 1 level apart from a few good performances coming at the end of the season.

You’d think having been in Sunderland since he was 15, with a young family, a 2 year contract would be off putting? He’s coming in because he wants to work with Martin apparently so maybe that explains the 2 year deal

2 years in Swansea with a young family may be more appealing than in Sunderland l, we’ll at least in my opinion

My Sunderland supporting pal says he's utter shite and was often booed, so maybe that's why he wants away. Then again, my Sunderland supporting mate is a real div.

Still, let me be the first to decry him as crap before he's joined or kicked a ball. It's customary.

Of course, you'd absolutely love to be proved wrong as is customary.

Is he sure it wasn’t “goooooooooooooch” from the stands?

Won’t lose any sleep over that one

Ah yes looking on transfermarkt he scored 3 goals in 145 league appearances against QPR, Hull and Norwich. None in over 100 games after his last goal vs QPR (his only goal in our promotion season).

You have those the wrong way around, Gower scored against QPR 09/10 season and against Norwich 10/11 promotion season we needed to win to stop Norwich pulling away from us it was in the April and Gower scored the following week against Hull which was his last goal for us.

He was a real marmite player i quite liked him but a lot of fans hated him for some reason.

He was class when he dropped into the middle next to Leon. Ran the show up at Anfield in that first season in the PL (although should have scored).
