Will this lead to the spending of another bucket load of cash on another study? I have given up all home of seeing launch of the infrastructure in a timescale that will be useful to me.

I believe I am correct in saying that it took nearly five years to arrive at the last 'no' decision and in the end the decision fell in favour of the environmentalists rather than the regular commuter.

We should perhaps anticipate more debate, more procrastination, more hot air.

Maybe the change in commuting patterns brought on by coronavirus will mean we don't need it anymore? I've driven Bridgend-Bristol a few times around 5pm recently and it's been completely fine, while normally I would avoid it completely at rush hour.
 
This is shocking news and we must fight against Westminster taking control over our devolved powers. It’s a dismantling of our democracy.

I really hope that I'm not commuting up and down the M4 in ten years time. The only hope in the short to medium term is that the new normal of home working relieves some of the pressure.

Heathrow to Llanelli last Friday afternoon was three hours. An impossible feat pre Covid.
 
I simply cannot believe Liz Saville-Roberts'remark re an apparent obsession that "all roads lead to London". One trip on that road between 3pm and 7pm pre (and likely post) Covid in itself should tell the silly cow there is evidently a problem, with the vast majority of users commuting for business /employment purposes. Whatever the remedy (my view is relief road is required), there is a problem and not an obsession.

Dear oh dear.

Edit: think about how off putting the issues there are for potential investors Ms LS-R.

Its a completely dangerous stretch at times, with the locals joining leaving and weaving in an out at speed, I was nearly crushed by a lorry joining at one junction and leaving at the next at Tredegar park and you have to have your wits about you at the next Junction,

I used too regularly go to the Midlands and at times go by the Heads of the valley road , just for peace of mind, though the roadworks there now have scuppered that.

A relief road is desperately needed, if MD thinks we are all going to go by train he's sadly bonkers.

Under Drakeford and Caryn before him Wales is closed for business and closed to business. They seem to think that people who use the M4 are discretionary users and have a choice. Out of touch.
