Full credit to them as it was certainly the unknown. I remember my wife going into school early on and she was practically having a bath of bleach and the stories of the kids with runny noses and just not being very thoughtful on their hygiene
My wife & I got through all the whole of 2020, 21 & 22 without getting it then, really annoyingly, I picked it up on a flight to Spain in May 2023 ffs! But even then, I still always did a precautionary test at the airport before driving home as it was still a serious danger to my wife and I certainly wasn't expecting it to be positive as I didn't know I'd got it and had no symptoms. Got home, told her, and spent the next 9 nights sleeping in the spare room and most of the days outside in the garden and thankfully got away with it. Caught it again on a flight to Copenhagen last October but that wasn't so much of a problem at home as pneumonia had already taken my wife 6 months earlier.
