Ahh thought it was a mushroom, the shape was confusing me though, I thought mushrooms were usually roundish...

Lovely walk today down Oxwich with the dug, sea was flat calm and noticed a lot of seagull activity only just behind the tide line at one point, on closer inspection they were feeding on a large shoal of whitebait in basically 18 inches of water! Very unusual for late September, global warming anyone...
