That’s the one, haven’t played there for donkeys years now, got a new location now.
We took the dogs down the canal earlier it’s a shame to see it in such a mess.
The path is only about 3 foot wide in parts where grass and weeds have crept across it.
Out of curiosity does anyone know what he eco/environmental affect of throwing the grass and weeds into the canal would be?
I was thinking a few men with spades (not shovels) could sort it easily if they could aim the debris straight in the canal.
 
Not sure how old you are, but was the game played over the other side of the ‘mountain’?
Blimey walking over that mountain to the pitch brings back memories. Mid 80s for me. We drove straight to the pitch and changed there a few times.
