I was in Port Talbot library earlier looking through all the Neath Port Talbot Guardians from 1947 and there were two court reports, both from the Afan Valley that caught my eye.
There was a nine year old boy from Abercregan found guilty of manslaughter after killing a four year old boy he was playing with by tying his hands and feet together and pushing him in the River Afan.
Both kids were named.
Then a woman whose husband was still away with the army after WWII had accused the man living next door of rape.
The woman was named.
