The issue is bigger than post match interviews.

Is it, when you have the ability to become an elite athlete then you have to expect everything that comes with it, broadcasting rights cost billions to the broadcasters and make the player/players in the various sports rich beyond most peoples dreams.

Now here's the thing... if for whatever reason a certain individual doesn’t want to respect thier contractual obligation to the broadcasting authorities, then go do something else 👍
Get my drift.

Yeah I catch your drift

Cunty response

I would have thought if she was that bad she wouldn't have been in the French open at all

If only it was that simple.

If only we could open a first aid box and stick a plaster over the illness, or go to the doctors and take a cable of courses of anti-biotics and it goes away.

Similarly, having the ability to be an elite athlete doesn’t mean someone is immune from mental ill health. Nor does being very rich.

Absolutely, my point being, if the job I were doing was effecting my mental health I would look to get out.

Why wouldn't you try to resolve your health issue with your employer?

Perhaps the terms and conditions of my employment were the reason behind my issues...

If that were the case and you were doing very well at the main part of your job (in Osaka's case winning tennis matches and presumably bringing in viewers), then I'm sure your employer would be willing to look at your terms and conditions to see what they could do to help you rather than lose a good employee, yes?

Forced the world number 2 out of one of their flagship tournaments and opened themselves up to scorn and ridicule from anyone with any empathy.

Whatever anyone thinks that is spectacularly shooting yourself in the arse.

Elite athletes can pay a heavy price for fame and fortune. I hope the lass gets through it. She's a tennis player, her only obligation should be to play tennis.

Being 100% serious and not making any silly comments (about Steve Cooper) would you be happy not ever hearing from the manager of a football club?
Should their only obligation be to manage the football club?

Personally it wouldn't bother me in the slightest. Very rarely i stay tuned in after a game to listen to any manager speaking. I get that there are plenty of fanboys that do, but each to their own.

Why would any human being want to put another human being through pain, just to hear them talking?

I can honestly say that if I never heard another football manager press interview it wouldn’t bother me in the slightest. Amd if any manager has the same issues with speaking to the press tha Osaka has highlighted then my view would be the same. They’d need support and protection, not ostracism.

Federer is moaning about the French now
They made him play until 1 am knowing that he has just had 2 knee ops and is 40 in august
😁

He doesn’t want to get injured ahead of the grass season. The easiest way of avoiding such a scenario of course was to not play on clay, like he’s done most of the past few seasons. The big prima donna.

Soon to be retired prima Donna I would think, he says he only continues for the grand slams, looks highly unlikely he will win another one of those
