• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Not a huge fan but this new song has some good heavy riffs in there!

Interesting. Muse have always been a band I thought I should like more than I do. They are very good musicians but every time I listen to them, I think they're weak vocally and after a few minutes, I find the vocals a bit tiresome. Some decent heavy riffs here, yes, but as usual, I still didn't quite make it through to the end!

Only really heard the singles , they sound like a poor mans radiohead , but I could be wrong , not listened to their albums

I don’t think they’re particularly great musicians in the technical sense, and I’m not suggesting they’re bad, but their strength is in their songwriting and individuality - a bit like the Edge, not technically great but instantly recognisable. They’re not a true muso prog band like Marillion or Porcupine Tree, more like the crash, bang, wallop of Radiohead with more nuance and better playing.

I think that's a fair assessment but without a better singer, still a 5 out of 10 for me :D

One of those bands who produced 1 good album and struggle to reach those heights again.
Really like their Black Holes & Revelations album. Tried a couple of others but apart from a song or two they were very forgettable

Interesting views above. When I lock myself in the kitchen with a beer and apron "Alexa - play the best of Muse" is a sentence that's often uttered. I couldn't name even one of their songs yet I find their "best of" uplifting and great to cook to. They'd be made up, I'm sure. 😂

Bellamy is a very good guitarist but the voice does take some getting used to.
