As we head into 2026, we sent out our latest update to Trust members a few days ago on some of the work we’ve been involved with over the past couple of months.
We are now posting some of it below should anyone be interested in learning more.
1. Ivor Allchurch – Golden Days
Ivor Allchurch is arguably the greatest footballer in the history of Swansea City Football Club and one of the very best to have played for Wales.
‘Ivor Allchurch – Golden Days’ is a new documentary commissioned by the Swans Trust superbly produced by David Brayley and Max Webborn that tells Ivor’s story from the perspective of his family and it held its first public screening at the end of October in the Taliesin Arts Centre
That followed on from a wonderful evening held at the stadium a few days before where a private screening was held for the Allchurch family, friends and those who helped put the film together as announced by the Club HERE
We were delighted with how the film was received so have laid on two more free public screenings at the Swansea.com stadium early next month. Again tickets have gone quickly but here are still a few remaining places by booking online HERE
We will then look to release the film publicly on YouTube once these screenings have taken place.
2. Former Swansea Town and Wales Player Murals
We are pleased to confirm that we have now completed the latest series of telephone equipment box murals to recognise the achievements of former Swansea Town and Wales players. The latest was the unveiling of the Harry Griffiths and Mel Nurse as announced on our website HERE
We now just have one further piece of work to officially unveil to recognise the achievements Trevor Ford in the coming weeks after which we will look to see what other suitable equipment boxes are available for more former players to be duly recognised.
3. Information to Members & Supporters
We continue our regular meetings with various Club representatives that covers a wide variety of topics and as usual these are always reported upon in our monthly meeting minutes available on our Trust website HERE
The Trust also have a wide variety of sub-groups that meet regularly and provide detailed reports to the rest of the board and our published minutes. To help highlight some of our ongoing work we’ve selected some of those reports over the last two months for you to read below:
Main Reports Summary – November 2025
Main Reports Summary – December 2025
We’ll continue to email members these summaries from time to time along with other important news releases as and when they happen and reproduce some of that content on our website for supporters to read.
4. Matchday Experience Working Group (MEWG)
Another area the Trust are heavily involved with is the MEWG and we now form part of a large working group that focuses on improving the experience of our supporters at matches. We all meet every couple of months or so and also have an active WhatsApp group to discuss and help improve a wide variety of matters.
Our next meeting is scheduled to be held later this month and a full report of what was discussed along with all other recent meeting reports are available to read on our website HERE
If anyone has something they’d like us to raise at these MEWG meeting just drop us an email to supporters@swanstrust.co.uk
5. Trust Matchday Programme Notes
As well as us regularly posting on our website and social media platforms we like to keep members and supporters up to date with what is happening via our regular programme notes page that appears in the Club’s digital programme and we also post a copy up on our Matchday Programme Notes section of our website
And we’ll continue to print them whenever we can on the reverse of the official Team Sheets that can be collected from our Trust Kiosk outside the Club Shop from 45 minutes before KO at our home games. All we ask is a small contribution that all goes towards supporting our nominated Charity for the year – the amazing Faith in Families
6. Coach Travel to Away Matches
Thank you to all Trust members and supporters who have taken the opportunity to book with Vaughan Voyage for selected away games this season.
However, the demand for some of our away games over the Christmas and New Year period has dropped away resulting in a couple of coaches to matches sadly having to be cancelled.
We have had conversations around this with Vaughan Voyage over the past few days and we’d like to continue offering the service for a while longer to see if there is still an appetite for it? If you’d like to learn more please email Dan at info@vaughanvoyage.com or visit their website here: https://vaughanvoyage.com/football/
A reminder that their coaches depart from Carmarthen with scheduled pick-up points in Llanelli, Swansea and Sarn Services, Bridgend and are family friendly with no alcohol and we’re also implementing a zero-tolerance approach to any anti-social behaviour.
7. Member and Supporter Engagement Events
Our membership and events team worked hard before Christmas and presented an excellent Charity Quiz Night at the Penderyn Distillery where well over £1100 was raised towards our 2025 nominated Charity, Faith in Families.
More details and photos can be seen on our website HERE
They are now in the process of planning for other events during 2026 more details of which will be announced in due course.
8. Grass Roots Football Sponsorship 2025/26
We also took the opportunity at the Quiz Night to present almost £10,000 worth of sponsorship for our ongoing support of all the local junior grass roots football leagues in & around Swansea i.e.
The Trust have been supporting junior league football in and around Swansea since 2013 and last year increased that still further thanks to the support of our members and other fundraising activities.

Thank you for the feedback we have received from Trust members and supporters on our new strategy presentation “The Future of the Swans Trust”
This has now been published on our website HERE where anyone can still provide any feedback via a link we’ve created to complete a brief online survey
10. Swans Big Sleepout
Last November the Swans Trust and some of its board members once again supported Swansea City AFC Foundation and Matthew’s House in the latest “Swans Big Sleepout”
This was the third consecutive year the Sleep Out has been held at the Swansea.com stadium and we were delighted to be part of the event once again.
Thanks to the generosity of all who took part and the money everyone personally raised this year’s target of £40,000 was easily surpassed.
