What do we want here, I couldn't care really, because we're crap and if we go up, it's because God has taken pity on the poor b*stard

Delia win, but it’s harder now thanks to a dubious ref decision.

A Norwich win, so that they're going for the Championship in their next game against Watford.

It's the hope that kills you.

It’s the Cooper that kills you

Norwich 1 v 2 Bmouth

Just seen who the ref is. Graham Scott. Once again he sends off a player for nothing because an opponent rolls around screaming on the pitch after instigating the tackle. Decided the game again probably, the twat.

Bournemouth are probably the most likely to get promoted through the play offs I think, them Watford and Norwich pretty much kept their premier league squads.

At the end of the day, this result doesn't matter. There's no way our team have the wherewithall to overtake Watford for the second auto spot, and barring a complete disaster (which I don't put past Cooper), the four play off places are pretty much nailed on.
I see us being hammered by either Bournemouth or Brentford, we might have a glimmer of a chance against Barnsley if they have an off day, but we'll get wacked in the final anyway by whoever gets there.

Muff will walk the play offs the way they are playing.

I suppose anything can happen in a one off game under pressure, but they are head and shoulders above the other three. Better than Watford too. If they’d changed manager earlier they would be at the top.

I agree, and the depressing thing about that is the three relegated teams going straight back up. Two of the three promoted teams are coming straight back down and the other one has Bielsa in charge. Will we ever see a club our size stay up for seven seasons again?

Hard to imagine with current teams, as if Muff don’t make it, whoever does is coming back down bottom next year. I think it is possible, but have to build from a solid base, no ‘stars’ and a real team ethic playing differently and adapting.

So I would spend the money on good progressive coaches throughout the club (find a younger Klopp ffs, not a younger Clement) and on good cheap player spotters. The Brentford model in recruitment but maybe trying to ape the likes of Dortmund and Liverpool in terms of playing style...high press high energy, fast tempo. Obviously it won’t come off all the time, or even a lot of the time with lesser players, certainly not at first, but as Martinez knew, players enjoy it far more than working with the Shapemeister, wasting any flair and talent that they have.

Cooperball can work in the prem mind you. He probably has posters of Dyche and Bruce on his wall. But you are always scuffing at the bottom, boring the living shit out of everyone. Who the hell wants to watch that, just so the owners can make money. It’s like our last few seasons up there...what was the point? Totally miserable experience.

Let’s build a vibrant sustainable football team again, and then our place in the pyramid matters less and will take care of itself in the end.

Oh ps, I reckon Leeds might struggle next year, as Sheffield U have this, but they do have a style that might decry that,as we did, so whatever their faults as a club, I’d rather they do carry on beating the odds and showing the likes of Dyche that there is another way to play.
