• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

He has the energy, drive and skill that we’ve been crying out for.
Outside bet for the World Cup squad?

If he keeps these performances up between now and the World Cup, he has to be a shoe in for the squad at least.

He's dynamic, likes put a foot in, get's himself about the pitch. He looks to be an absolute gem.

I think it's the timing that will do for him. I think the 2 Nations League games coming up this month are the only games before the World Cup? Ollie will need to be called up and get significant minutes on the pitch to stand a chance of going to the World Cup.

I see Harris and Colwill are only getting sub appearances for Cardiff though, plus someone mentioned Wilson is out injured? Fingers crossed for Oli.

Let’s be patient with Ollie, he’s been incredibly patient waiting for his opportunity and shown a huge hunger and desire that some of the senior pros such as Ntcham and Paterson have been severely lacking. One thing these two have lacked is consistency, that is now the challenge for Cooper to maintain the start he has made.

What Ollie is giving from a hunger and desire perspective should be the absolute minimum of what is expected in our shirt. I remember him scoring in the European cup for the 23s in Landore, him and Cullen shared 5 goals between them that night and he was outstanding.

I am keen to see the next couple of games and hopeful he maintains this level.

For me, 2 of the main things he brought to the side yesterday were

1/movement - for months our players have been statuesque but OC's constant movement seemed to rub off on others and suddenly, players with the ball at their feet found they had options, and

2/pressing - I'm not sure if RM had anything to do with this but whenever QPR were trying to play out, Ollie went at them and put them under pressure and when others followed his lead and started to do the same, the result was that QPR were finding it very difficult to get out of their own half especially in the first 45 and ended up passing it amongst themselves until we forced a mistake. If fact, they they had 54% possession in the first half without a single goal attempt. Now which team do we know that that sounds like?
