Thank you for this post. It’s the modern reflex and there’s a vanity to it.

Aren’t we nicer people, when in reality it wouldn’t take 5 mins to see the hypocrisy in action.

I don't there was any malice in Sgorios observation, I also think that his comments are not body shaming at all, when talking about a third party who in all likelihood will never see those comments, obviously if Sgorio met the Princess, and passed those comments, that could be a different story.

I think we all say it, when meeting friends or family we haven't seen for a while, over the years I have had bloody hell, you have put some weight on, to bloody hell you have lost some weight.

Personally for me in the picture, she looks ok? I suppose you could say to anyone, you need to lose or put on weight, to look good for me? Not what the individual wants.

Just to reiterate, she might be the perfect shape for me, she may be skinny for my neighbour next door, and she may be fat for my neighbour opposite, whose opinion counts? None, only hers.

Do you know best then? I have not read about any bulimia disorders. I am not saying there isn't, but don't turn innocent statements into, what they are not..

All I can see are innocent statements, and all I can see are people targeting those innocent statements, were those innocent statements made with malice? I certainly think not!
