UEFA have decided to demote them from Europa League to Conference League as a result of this ownership issue. Makes me wonder what would have happened if it was Man City or Real Madrid. This isn’t a decision that sits comfortably with me.

Winning the FA Cup outright deserves at least a Europa slot.

The conference is far less attractive but winnable for them.

I think it will deal with to a certain degree the people who hoover up several football clubs looking to build a trading/training syndicate

While the odds are low that you run foul of these sorts of regulations, imagine if Daniel Levy had also owned for example Borrusia Dortmund or more realistically some obscure team from say Iceland who happened to qualify for the qualification stages of the Champions League.

By those very same rules Tottenham who finished in 17th place last season would be denied the champion's league spot because the Icelandic team finished in say 2nd place.
