This is a good example of why we need an independent and free media. The BBC cop a lot of stick from the Left and the Right and at this moment in time Boris is seeing to install Paul Dacre as the new head of Offcom despite the selection panel decking against him as have a number of MP’s. This investigation by the Guardian and BBC Panorama team is the kind of stuff that needs looking in to and publicising.

In other words “ok, so you have a point, we (the Conservative Party) derive vast funding from spurious (and there is a lot of evidence, ‘crooked’) foreign donors which convinces us to adapt ‘policy’ to in some way screw the ‘prols’ once again but if you look close enough there is evidence that a Labour leader from 12 or so years ago used one ‘method’ outlined to save £300k on stamp duty!” Classic diversionary tactics. Fools are easily’diverted’.

Preaching one thing and doing another makes it an easy tactic to deploy. That’s why Starmer would do well to keep his distance from Blair and Mandelson and be his own man. If not it’ll be a tap in for them and their diversionary tactics.
