Sod it - we need him, and he needs us if he wants to move on. Get him back in the squad and let him earn his coin. If he can perform like he did in the first half of the season (his last two games aside), he could help us out massively.

Interesting comments in there. Martin understandably desperate for him to return and is doing a far better job of being his agent and spokesman than his agent.

Both he and club and agreed extension and Paterson never refused to play.

Wasn't there rumours that he'd been fined some wages?

Someone did mention he was fined two weeks wages.

Good news. Hopefully the fans don't give him a hard time when he returns to action - I feel that for the rest of this season we have to build our midfield around him as he is pretty much the only player we have with consistent guile and delicate touch to open teams up.

I really wish we’d been brilliant over the last 6 games, we hadn’t missed him and he could have rotted away for the next 18 months before failing to find a club.

Unfortunately though we’ve been sh*te without him so we probably need to welcome him back with open arms.

Sad but if he can ensure our survival and scum double I'm happy for us to swallow our pride and get him back in the team.

BergkamPaterson, welcome back.

The glue, the icing on the cake, the winning missing link, in so many ways.

His symbiosis with Grimesy is a joy. For the discerning.

Improper spacing in relation to your opening dot.

And then 2 dots at the end this time. You've lost all consistency.

Russell Martin will this morning welcome back Jamie Paterson to the first team squad for training and hopes to be including him in the squad for the weekend visit of Blackburn to the Swansea.com stadium. Paterson’s return comes after his well publicised absence from the squad over “bad advice”...
