Underrated. Mad to think how many copied him and he wasn't even really famous.

Out drinking with Bon Scott on the night he died I heard.

Very sad but grateful for some fab performances and albums. Saw UFO in Reading (1980 I think) - brilliant. Paul Chapman (recently sadly died too?) was lead guitarist, but Schenker was backstage (we jumped over the barriers for the central thingy and got backstage). Had a nice chat with Schenker, who wrote down the lights out chords for me. Also saw Slade backstage absolutely hammered after they went down well. Britt Ekland was there too! Don't know if she went down well too - probs did! Hearing that news about Pete Way brought back fab memories. RIP Pete and thank you.

Saw them in Bristol 1978, middle of A levels. First few rows in front of Schenkers stack. Ringing in the ears for days; great gig, great band.
