• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Amazingly talented guitarist & songwriter but a tormented soul - very sad really.
Talkshite excelled themselves by announcing his death yesterday & playing part of a Rumours track, absolutely clueless.

It's pikey Paul in blackpill

The Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac were a mega-band way before the Nicks/Buckingham USA version became the slick stadium act. Up there with Cream, Zep, Hendrix as the prototype for future generations of guitar base bands. As it happens I'm pretty sure he played Penyrheol in the last few years.

Peter Green was a fantastic guitarist, I've seen the Mac live several times, and actually spoke to him briefly once, when I had the pleasure of sitting on the stage beside them when they played Albatross, absolutely brilliant.

R.I.P. The great Peter Green.

Incredible musician but completely wasted talent due to drugs.
After a gig a few years ago he spent ages talking to my kids about music and seemed really sad when he told them to steer clear of narcotics.
Very generous with his time.

Today would have been Peter’s 74th birthday.
Thanks for everything you gave us...
